Because the payload travels as light, the link is inherently immune to electromagnetic interference from power circuits, dimmers and densely packed cable trays - a decisive advantage in professional AV installations where copper links degrade and drop out. There is nothing to configure and nothing to plug into the wall: the active electronics draw their operating power directly from the USB port, with no external supply and no drivers.
