PA EV PROM5Z Voice-Alarm Evacuation Master Control Unit, 24V DC, 2U

When a building has to be cleared safely, the voice-alarm system cannot simply make noise - it has to prove, continuously, that every message will reach every zone. The Proel EV PROM5Z is the master control unit at the heart of the Proevac EVO modular evacuation system, certified to EN 54-16 and built to satisfy EN 60849 and BS 5839-8. It constantly diagnoses and monitors the whole installation: speaker-line integrity and ground leakage, message continuity, amplifier performance and the correct operation of every connected microphone station, so faults are detected and reported before they matter. Emergency and Alert messages stored on the controller modules are fully supervised and can be routed automatically and simultaneously by the fire-detection system to individual zones or groups of zones, under a five-level priority scheme. With four zone-controller slots, dual RJ45 links to EV PROS8Z slave units and TCP/IP networking, a single 2U unit scales from a compact stand-alone site to a distributed architecture of up to 108 zones and 54 supervised microphone stations. A 160x64 graphic LCD with six navigation keys, dedicated Power, Fault and Voice-Alarm LEDs and a front USB port give the operator full, password-protected control on site, while a back-up power-supply control system and spare-amplifier connection keep the system available when it is needed most.
