PA DM550 550W 70/100V Modular EN54 Voice-Alarm Amplifier

When a building's life-safety chain depends on every word being heard, the Proel PA DM550 delivers the headroom and the resilience to back it up. This 550W modular power amplifier feeds 70V and 100V constant-voltage loudspeaker lines for EN54 voice-alarm and public-address systems, generating its high-voltage output electronically through a switch-mode supply rather than a heavy line transformer. The result is a slim, light module that stacks up to eight units in a single 19-inch 3U MDAC8 rack case, so a full evacuation zone fits where a handful of conventional amplifiers once did. On-board 24-bit/48kHz DSP handles master level, microphone gain, bass and treble, a soft-VOX threshold and an insertable PA-HF speech filter, keeping announcements clear and intelligible under load. A continuous-recovery protection suite guards against speaker overload, output short-circuit, over-temperature and supply faults, while the 48Vdc auxiliary input lets a battery backup take over the instant the mains drops, exactly when an alarm matters most.
