Add the Proevac EVO Line-B redundancy that EN54-16 projects demand without adding a second amplifier. The EV MCL2Z is the companion zone module that installs in the slot immediately to the right of an EV MCL1Z inside the EV PROM5Z master or EV PROS8Z slave — taking the same 100V power feed from the shared amplifier and routing it onto a second, fully independent loudspeaker line. The card runs its own continuous 18kHz pilot-tone monitoring on Line B (load loss, overload, short, open, earth leakage), so both the A and B circuits in the zone are supervised in parallel without ever stealing program audio. If one of the two lines fails, the system isolates the faulty line and lifts the volume on the surviving line by a configured amount — same sound pressure inside the zone, no silent areas during evacuation. The result: one amplifier, two surveyed lines, certified A/B redundancy (0068-CPD-014) — the cleanest, most cost-effective way to harden a Proevac EVO zone against single-line cable damage.
Features
- Line-B redundancy companion to EV MCL1Z — shares one amplifier, drives a second independent 100V loudspeaker line, certified A/B architecture for EN54-16
- Independent continuous supervision of Line B via 18kHz pilot tone — same load-loss, overload, short, open and earth-leakage detection as the primary line, run in parallel without interrupting audio
- Automatic isolation of a failed line plus configurable volume boost on the surviving line — keeps sound pressure constant inside the zone during an emergency
- Installs in the slot directly right of its paired EV MCL1Z; the master matrix auto-recognises the A/B pairing — no software dip-switching for the cabling
- BUSY and FAULT LEDs on the card front for at-a-glance status during commissioning and routine inspection
- Plug-in PCB module with screw terminals for the 100V power input and the second loudspeaker line — adds redundancy to an existing zone without replacing the amplifier or recabling the rack
